YET ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL FASHION SHOW BY ALEX TAN

Alex Tan does it again...
But, this time he did it solo. Alex was invited to be one of the hairstylists for a lingerie fashion show that was held down town (Los Angeles). These were just a couple of his styles. The theme was Angels and Devils. As you can see Alex loves styling the crazy curls and racy styles that a devil is bound to sport.

Alex, we are ALL very proud of you and all that you are doing! You are an amazing stylist and we always LOVE seeing what you are going to do next! Thanks for sharing your creativity and passion with us.

TONY McCREE

Static's very own TONY McCREE does the movies...

Although we missed him in the salon for a couple of days, Tony was recently invited to be the lead hairstylist for a new movie CLASS, which just finished filming.

CLASS will hopefully be in theaters sometime in October 2010.

The red carpet was absolutely insane with flashing lights galore...

For this show we were absolutely blessed with beautiful models. They were all so lovely and we had so much fun getting them ready. The concept for Lauren Elaine's Launch party was not so traditional. Because she wanted it more like a PARTY the models didn't walk a runway. They acted more as live mannequins and interacted a ton with all the party guests. It was so much fun.

But here is something that we at Static Salon didn't even know was happening till it happened. One of Alex's clients entered him into a competition, where the winners work got published in a Florida based Magazine. So, its no surprise to any of us when we received the news that Alex's photos were chosen and published in the January 2010 issue of Lmh Mag.

This is the page in the magazine where Alex's work lives. On the left side of the page you will see two of his very creative pieces of art that were originally done for a photo shoot.

Designer Lauren Elaine, in partnership with 'La Maison De Fashion', will host an exclusive launch party and shopping event for the new Black Label Accessories line on Saturday, January 16th 2010 from 7:30-10pm at the popular Melrose Avenue storefront. In addition to an official collection debut, a percentage of proceeds from sales during event will go to benefit Ovarian Cancer. The event kicks off with celebrity arrivals from 7:30-9pm, and an ongoing collection installation beginning at 8:00pm.For the Black Label Accessories line, designer Lauren Elaine combines classic elegance with an exaggerated bohemian edge to create a stand-out collection of headbands and unique hair accessories complimentary to her popular "Black Label" couture dress line, already carried at 'La Maison.' The one-stop premiere designer resource, popular with editors and stylists, will be the first boutique in Los Angeles to feature the new line-showcasing a variety of handmade couture-style pieces with lavish adornments, detailed beadwork, and exotic feathers.
