So...Joe, Tina and Bri have been to every community meeting that you could possibly imagine, from Police Breakfasts, to Melrose Action, to Melrose Buisness Watch, to Neighborhood Block Captain Meetings. You can basically say that we have immursed ourselves in our community and have loved every minute of it. The Melrose Business Owners and Melrose Residence have truly become our family and we love walking down Melrose everyday and seeing all of our new friends. We couldn't ask for a better community to open up a new business in. So, when we were presented with a Certificate from the Mayor of Los Angeles for our "Dedication to the Melrose Community", we were in shock because we love being involved so much.

We have proudly framed our beloved Certificate and hung it right by the front door!!!

Static Gets Models Ready for a Pool Side Fashion Show

This Fashion Show was for the ZGirls. The models were wearing custom bathing suit. All of these were pictures in the hotel room where we were getting the models ready (for all of you who have never seen the behind the scenes craziness that goes into a fashion show). The hair was done by Alex, Bri and Tina of Static Salon

In this posting we have two exciting things to share that are happening at Static Salon. The first is that we are offering a very innovative treatment to relax (straighten) and de-frizz even colored hair. The treatment is called the Keratin Complex Treatment by Coppola.

Look how soft, smooth and not frizzy her hair is. She is still able to get some body in her hair, but the treatment just makes her body more manageable. Kari will spend less time every morning and have better results with styling her hair.

We Love you Kari and are so excited we got to play with you for the day and for letting us have a little pre and post photo shoot!

Meet Taylor!

Taylor is a little girl who has been waiting for a very very very long time to get her hair cut because she heard of Locks of Love and wanted to grow her hair out so that she could donate her beautiful hair to another child who is going through cancer and has no hair. Taylor's dad works by the salon and when the time was right, he along with Taylor's 2 brothers brought her into the salon for the BIG hair donating day!!!
